Grade 7: Individuals and Societies
Individuals and Societies encourages learners to respect and understand the world around them. It equips them with the necessary skills to inquire into historical, contemporary, geographical, political, social, economic, religious, technological and cultural factors that have an impact on individuals, societies and environments.
Grade 7 social studies is an integrated course with a focus on Texas and US History. Students will examine the key people, events and concepts that shaped our nation and our state. Students will participate in inquiry from a number of perspectives, bringing together their knowledge and understandings using multiple academic disciplines and learning strategies.
